How to Measure for Bespoke Sizing
Follow our step-by-step master-tailor measuring guide in inches to guarantee a flawless, royal silhouette for your custom ethnic ensemble.
Important Tailoring Tips
- Always use a flexible cloth measuring tape (do not use steel carpentry tape).
- Measure over the exact undergarments you plan to wear with your ethnic outfit.
- Keep the tape snug but comfortable—do not pull excessively tight or hold your breath.
- Always record all measurements in inches.
Bust / Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your bust across the shoulder blades at the back. Ensure the tape is level all the way around.
Natural Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, typically the narrowest point above your belly button and below the rib cage.
Hip
Stand with heels together and measure around the fullest curve of your hips and rear.
Shoulder Width
Measure from the outer bone tip of one shoulder across the natural arch of your back to the tip of the other shoulder.
Blouse / Kurta Length
From highest shoulder point down over the bust apex to your desired hemline finish.
Lehenga / Skirt Length
From where you tie your lehenga (waist or navel) straight down to the floor, wearing the exact footwear or heels intended.
